1. Choose a site.
- Well draining
- Reasonably flat
- Gravel or concrete not required, but ok if larger than shed.
- Driver can level up to 24″ on one end.
- Mark building corners with flags.
- Choose an alternate site in case preferred site not suitable.
- Important to minimize the moving of the shed during delivery.

2. Check the delivery area.
Clear any obstacles and ensure adequate clearance for delivery truck and equipment.
- Minimum height clearance = 15′
- Minimum width clearance = shed width + 3′
- No junk
- No limbs, no debris
- No low hanging wires
- Remove gate or fence to allow shed width +3’
BE AWARE OF WATER, SEWER, & GAS LINES AND SEPTIC TANK LOCATIONS. RECOMMENDED TO STAY CLEAR OF THESE!

3. Purchase concrete blocks.
See blocking chart for guidance. The driver will supplement with treated wood blocks.

How to Check the Grade/Slope of the Preferred Shed Site
Supplies Needed:
- Good-quality string/twine
- Wood stakes
- Hammer
- Line bubble level (only costs a few dollars)
- Tape measure

Steps For Using A String Line Level To Check Grade/Slope
- Using the hammer, drive wooden stake into the ground at the highest point of the grade (highest final elevation) to represent one end of your shed.
- Using a tape measure, measure out the length of your desired shed.
- Using a hammer, drive a second wooden stake into the ground to represent the other end of your shed location.
- Measure out a length of string that is a couple of feet longer than the span of your desired shed size.
- Tie one end of the string to the first wooden stake.
- Attach the bubble level to the middle of the length of string.
- Pull the string tight so the line level does not sag.
- Position the string onto the second stake so the bubble in the level is in the center.
- Tie the other end of the string off on the second wooden stake. You can now see how much slope is in the area you want to place your shed. Use the tape measure to measure the distance between the ground and the string at the first wooden stake.
- Then measure the distance between the ground and the string at the second wooden stake. The difference in those two numbers will tell you how much slope is in that length of space.
*You can repeat this process to check the slope for the width of your desired shed location.

*The delivery drivers will set up and level the building to the existing terrain using treated wooden blocks for slopes up to 4″. Concrete blocks will be required for sites with greater slopes. If the customer is not satisfied with how the shed will sit, they must complete any necessary ground work before the building is delivered. NOTE: Additional charges may apply for releveling or rescheduling if proper steps are not taken in advance.
For guidance on appropriate concrete block use, please refer to the Blocking Chart.

These are approximate estimates; please select the box that most accurately represents your building’s location. These figures are calculated based on the building being at ground level. Any extra height will require more blocks. For every additional 8 inches, double these numbers.

4"thick x8"x16" Cap Block

8"x8"x16" Cinder Block
Place concrete blocks as close to the site as possible without blocking pathway or shed site.

Free Delivery Within 50 Miles of Sales Location
Sheds 365 will make one free delivery within a 50-mile radius of your sales location. If the distance to your site is greater than 50 highway miles, there is a $5 per mile one-way charge for the additional miles.
Example: If you live 75 highway miles from our closest sales location, the delivery charge would be: 75 – 50 = 25 highway miles. 25 x $5 = $125 delivery fee.
